I have not had a period in a little over 2 years.  But when I did have them they were very irregular.  My mom is having me be put on birth control but I have to have a pap. test will the doctor then find out that I don't have any.  My mom does not no I do not have periods either because she is not the kind of person I can talk to about these things or my doctor because I don't want her to find out.  Will being put on birth control make me have them again?

You did not mention your age to me but it sounds like you have had periods in the past. You really need to find out why you are not having periods. Your health is of the utmost importance. I don't recommend birth control because of the risks and side effects. Why is your mother putting you on this? Are you sexually active? Perhaps you can find a trusted friend or teacher who can help you with this problem. I'm sorry you cannot talk to your mother. Your doctor really needs to know that you are not having periods so that he/she can find out what is the problem.
