Question I have just changed pill from marvelon to microgynon. My Dr advised me to start the new pill at the end of the seven day break and i would still be protected. I missed day one meaning i started the pack a day late and had unprotected sex on days 5 and 6. what are the chances of pregnancy?
Answer Hey Jen,
Taking it a day late increases your chances of pregnancy. I think that you should stop taking the pill, and not have sex untill you have found out if you are pregnant, as taking the pill could damage the baby if you are pregnant, and if you aren't, not taking the pill mean you could end up pregnant!
When is your next period due? Refrain from sex till then, and see if you get your period. However, if you had sex during your period (You didn't specifie this) your chances of pregnancy are very low, as you will have just ovulated and are unlikely to be ovulating again so soon, so you are unlikely to be pregnant.
