Question
Hello...
Ok yesterday was my last day on my period/menstrual cycle and me and my husband had sex and he ejaculated inside of me. My period didn't end until I took the third pill of my new pack of birth control (btw i've been on birth control for 8 months and never forget to take it and i'm ALWAYS on time. I take it at 3 inthe afternoon so if anything i either take it at 2:58 or if i'm late i'm taking it at 3:02 so i'm pretty good with the whole being on time thing) my question is since yesterday was my last day and I had sex that night and he ejaculated in me could I be pregnant? It was the start of my new pack so i've already taken 3 hormonal pills. Idk if this will affect the answer you give me but I have 21 pills until I start my placebo pills. Thank you

Answer
Hey,

Nope, I'd say you're safe. Well done with the timing! It's amazing!
Nope, when you're on the pill, even when you're on the placebo pills you're safe.

When you take the pills, no matter where you are up to on them, you're safe all the time. It's one of the benefits of this form of birth control!

Expertise

I love questions on condoms, the pill, what to do if contraception fails, if you could be pregnant, obtaining contraception (Even without parental permission). I have a lot of experience with teenagers. One thing I don't know too much about is the IUD, but I'm working on it. I really do care about the people that ask me questions! I don't mind lots of follow up, and I like to know if things turned out okay. I'll be with you every step of the way!
