Birth Control/bleeding after pregnancy

Question
I delivered a baby vaginally nine weeks ago and became very anemic from blood loss during delivery.  After three weeks of heavy postpartum bleeding the Dr. put me on birth control to stop it.  This did not work.  The Dr. then did a D and C at six weeks which reduced the bleeding to very light spotting for two and a half more weeks.  This week I have started bleeding Very heavy again.  I'm not supposed to start my period again until next week.  Should I be worried?

Answer
Dear Grayson,

I hope you have found some good news about your health. Yes, if you have not called your doctor, it is important to contact him/her. Congratulations on your baby and please let me know what happens. You can email me privately at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and I would very much like to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
