Birth Control/I stopped taking Birth Control and I have not had my period yet.

Question
Hi, I am 18 years old, and started taking the pill last fall. Just over a month ago I stopped taking the pill, mostly because it was to hard for me to remember to take it, and because I thought I would see if my body could regulate my periods better. I should mention that's why I started taking it, my periods were very sporadic, and I thought Birth Control could help, and it did when I took it. But now that I'm off it I haven't had a period. When I last had my period it was for two and a half weeks of very light flow, and that started the day after I stopped taking the pill. It has been 34 days, should I be worried?

Answer
Hi Josephine,

Thanks for your question. I'm glad that you went off the pill. I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control because of risks and side effects. Please consult your doctor about your period or lack of. Is it possible that you could be pregnant? Have you had sex?
Write me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com so we can talk more. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
