Birth Control/Plan B Pill

Question
I had unprotected sex on august 26 and my boyfriend came in me. I took the first dose of the plan b pill. But 12 hrs later when I was suppose to take the other pill I couldn't find it. So I only took one. Could it still work even though I only took one pill? And if I were to end up pregnant could this effect my baby? Like could the pill make my baby come out wit a disease or disformed or something?

Answer
It could still work, but the chances are much less with taking only half the dose.  If you use plan B in the future, it's better to take both pills at the same time.  Some people recommend taking it that way instead of spreading the two pills out.  As far as we know, there will be no harm to your baby in case you did get pregnant.
