Ok well I started my perido a few days ago when I first started it was pretty heavy that night I could not sleep because I had really bad back pain and stomache pain. I alos felt vomiting. I had to sit in my bathroom for about 20 minutes. My second days in the morning I was bleeding a lot but then during the day not as much and I usally bleed a lot during the first 2 or 3 day but not this time I kinda only have it heavy for the first 2 days and only in the morining? Ok my questions is can you still be pregenat if you have a period like im having rihght now? Alos, last month and the month before I noticed that my period was changing why is that? If you need anymore infomation just let me know. Thank You.

ANSWER: Hi Jess,
It's possible to be early pregnant and get heavy bleeding and have a miscarriage.  However, the bleeding usually will be somewhat late, and won't feel like a usual period.  Usually if it's heavy bleeding and comes near to when a period was expected, the pregnancy will end with the bleeding.  Women's periods do change over time, sometimes due to stress or other factors we're not sure about.

QUESTION: Ok so what does that mean am I or not or was I? Well, my period is no over it last the same and I kinda bleed the same and had the same as the last few months. I also had some clots when I went to the bathroom and my period came a little early but that usually always happens I get it a few days before.I also saw that I was getting some stretch marks but that most likely because I have gained some wight. All I want to know is could it be possible to have a period like I did and be pregnant or was it a miscarriage? Thank you so much you been a lot of help.

Answer
Hi Jess,
There's no way to be sure, but I suspect you were not pregnant at all.  If the bleeding was from a miscarriage, there would be a late period.  You would probably need a blood test for HCG at the time the bleeding started to know if you were pregnant and it were a miscarriage, but since it's too late for that now, you may never know for sure.  It is possible to have quite a bit of bleeding and still be pregnant.  If you were pregnant now, a pregnancy test would show it.  But you probably weren't and aren't pregnant.  Best regards.
