Question I just started the combination pill this week (ortho tri cycle lo) and Im already noticing some breast discomfort (tenderness). Is it normal to start the first wk of the pill? I was on the pill for a few yrs then I went through IVF, pregnancy and nursing so its been about 2yrs since Ive been on them. Im sure its from the pill cuz it just started this week and we haven't had any unprotected intercourse.
Answer Hey,
This is totally normal. There are many side effects to be expected when first starting the pill, including nausea, headaches, and breast nausea. To improve this, take some time out to relax, maybe with a hot water bottle on your breasts.
