Question Are you supposed to have a period while taking sprintec. It is my first month taking it after switching from yaz. I didn't very many while taking the yaz. I'm on the white pills, that's when I should have a period right. Just concered about pregnancy
Answer Hey Christy,
Sprintec is a type of birth control pill (you know all this but I need to say it anyway), when you first start it, it is important to use condoms while having sex while your body is getting used to the new medication.
Your period should begin while taking the white reminder pills. It might takes a few days to come. If the whole of the reminder pills are taken, and your period doesn't come, then it is no reason to panic (this can often happen when adjusting to new medication) but you should see your doctor just to make sure things are okay.
I was just reading about Yaz. Why did you change from it? It sounds very good, and my patients have done well on it.
