Birth Control/The return of Aunt Flo

Question
My daughter will be 15 months old on the 8th and about 2 months after she was born I had Implanon put in. I am still breast feeding and my period returned on August 20th. I had to be what seemed a normal period lasting for about a week. I had not been bleeding or had any weird discharge or anything for the past 4 days or so. This morning I woke up and it was like my period started again! Is this normal when AF returns? What is going on?

Answer
Hi Janis,

Thanks for your question. I really can't tell you over the internet but perhaps you should check with your doctor. I don't really recommend Implanon. I have read a lot about this method of birth control and other hormonal methods. From what I've read, please try to find a natural method of birth control.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
