Birth Control/Bleeding on hormonal weeks

Question
I have been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo since about September when I stopped nursing my daughter. I did not have any problems the first 3-4 months.  This month however I started bleeding on the last pill of the 2nd week and it hasn't stopped (its like a period, - my periods arent heavy tho just looks like my normal period)I am not due for my period until next week. I am sick w/a cold and have been under a lot of stress, starting working out and changing my diet, could this cause the bleeding?  Im going to give it till my next pack to see if the bleeding stops or the pills work correctly to call my obgyn.  Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I have very irregular periods which is why Im mainly on the pill.

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

I really feel sorry for you that you have these health problems. I'm not a doctor but have done many years of research about the topic of birth control.

I don't usually recommend the birth control pill because of side effects and risks.

Yes, being sick and stressed; working out and changing your diet can alter your body concept.
This can cause bleeding. Let me know what happens. You probably should consider a doctor appointment about this problem.

If you want to talk or find out more information, just email me back at CHERYL51@aol.com
Would love to get an update from you.
