Birth Control/Emergency contraception

Question
Hello,
I'm on Yazmin. Yesterday I took the morning after pill (levonorgestrel)because the condom broke and I really don't want to take any changes(although I'm taking the pill on schedule). Should I continue taking the Yasmin pills or should I wait until my next cycle and restart a new package? I still have 2 more weeks of pills to go.
Thank you very much

Answer
Hello Alexandra,

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure if you should keep taking your regular birth control pills when you took the morning after pill. I'm not sure if this would be too much at one time for your body. You might want to consult your doctor to find out. This could be serious for your health.

I know you already took the emergency contraception but why did you do that if you were taking the pill already. I know it's too late but for the future, please read this article
