Birth Control/Birth Control

QuestionI want to get on the pill. There's no way in hell my
parents can find out. NONE. I need to know if there's a
way to get it that's possibly cheap. I'm on healthy kids
insurance, but I don't know if that will cover for The Pill?
I don't know anything about any of this. I'm not even
sure if it will cost for the doctors visit. Isn't there a way I
can just buy a pack of birth control? If not, if I use
healthy kids (if that even covers the pill,) won't my
parents see it on some kind of record? and everytime I
go to the doctors office or ER, will every doctor be able
to see that i'm on it? Will they tell my parents?
AnswerI would suggest going to Planned Parenthood if there's one in your area. They usually charge depending on your income. I don't know anything about healthy kids insurance, but most insurance that your parents have taken our will send a copy of bills to your parents. If you have an insurance card for healthy kids insurance, there is probably a number you can call to find out whatever you want to know. Birth control pills in the US require a doctor's prescription, so you can't just go out and buy them. When you go to the doctor's office or ER, usually they'll only see information that you give them, although I don't know if healthy kids insurance works different. In general, a minor has confidentiality regarding birth control, so the doctor you see shouldn't tell your parents, although that can vary from state to state.
