i was placed on mirena about a year ago, for the first 3 months i spotted. after that there has been no further bleeding until 2 days ago. it started light but has now gone into full flow. should i be concerned with whether the mirena is still working?

I would advise you to check with your physician about this. I don't recommend the mirena in general because of risks and side effects. I can give you more information about this if you like.
