Question
I'm thinking of going back on birth control. I've been on depo once years ago but got off of it due to rapid weight gain and mood swings. I didnt go on anything for years (i've been with my finace for 7 years and started depo while with him). Last november i went on accutane and my doctor put me on Yaz while on it. i stopped taking the pill after i was done the accutane. My cylces are every 30 days and i'm regular and my period is due to start the day of my wedding. I figured it out if i go on birth control now my period will start 3 weeks before my wedding. I just want to know will it be safe for me to go back on again? My fiance and i want to start trying and have a child in a year from now and i dont want take somthing that could make it harder for us to concive. I'm not taking the pill to prevent getting prtegnat only to prevent my period to land on my wedding day. Any advice would help! Thank you

Answer
Stacy,

In my opinion, I would not go back on birth control pills just to prevent your period to be on your wedding day. You never know if it will really happen on that day. You could wear extra pads and clothing to prepare in case your period does start.

I personally don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods so I can advise you on that. If you want to get pregnant in about a year, I would not recommend any long-term birth control method.

If you want, email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and we can talk more. Put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email. By the way, when is your wedding date? Congratulations!
