Birth Control/Implanon

Question
Hi,
I got an implanon put in about six months ago and have been trying to get it removed because I have heard it causes infertility. Do you know how true this is?

Answer
Ruth,

According to studies, yes that is true. And there are other side effects and risks as well. I have heard women tell me that the doctor wouldn't take it out. It's your body and if you want it out, keep looking till you find a doctor who WILL take it out. I applaud your decision. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. If you want to talk about different kinds of birth control methods, just email me at CHERYL51@aol.com
