Question
I have taken my birth control pills on time the entire month. I have recently swithed BC pills and since taking them (2mnth) I have gotten spotting a week before the scheduled time for my period then gotten a regular pd. the following week. This time I have the usual spotting but the following week there was more spotting and only one day of a regular pd. My boyfriend and I did have unprotected sex 2 1/2 weeks prior. Could I be pregnant??

Answer
Since you've taken the pills on time, pregnancy is highly unlikely.  Periods tend to get lighter on the pill, and sometimes they get so light that they don't come at all.  Spotting during the month and light or no period both go together.  They're due to the very thin uterine lining that the pill causes.  Since you're having the spotting with the new pill, I would ask your doctor about switching back or to a different pill.  That will usually take care of the spotting.
