Birth Control/Depo Provera facial hair concern.

Question
I took my first depo provera shot on Oct. 27th, 2010.
I absolutely hate what it has done to me and I don't plan on continuing use.
One major problem is a noticeable growth in facial hair.
After my twelve weeks are up, I plan on going on a detox diet. Once this is all out of my body will the facial hair go away?

Answer
Yes, this is one of the side effects of hormones in the depo provera shot. I'm glad you are reconsidering your decision. I would also recommend that you use a non-hormonal method instead of hormonal. This will decrease the side effects.

I can't really tell you if the detox diet will help you with the facial hair. Hopefully, going off the depo will help you in the future.
