Question
I started taking Loestrin 24 Fe at the start of march. I have taken it for 19 days so far, but in the beginning i also had to take azithromycin for an std. That has cleared up, but my boyfriend and i had had sex yesterday and i am really curious if i should consider getting plan b. What are the chances of my birth control not working or the chances of me getting pregnant right now?

Answer
You're protected by the pill, so I don't think you need plan B.  Most antibiotics, including azithromycin, don't significantly decrease the effectiveness of the pill.  As long as you're taking the Loestrin around the same time every day, you're protected.  Best regards.
