Question
This month I had sex with my husband and took the emergency pill 3 times. I want to start to take the birth control pill from this month. Normally my period starts around 16th to 19th and last 5 days. Today is 16th and I got my period but I don't know if it's normal period or because of the pill. Should I still take the control pill from today?
Thank you so much.

Answer
The emergency pill can affect both when your period starts and what it is like.  Since your period started when expected, I would go ahead and start the pill now.  In case you had gotten pregnant, your period wouldn't have started at all.  Best regards.
