Birth Control/Switching pill mid-pack

Question
My wife got a new birth control tablet Yaz as she doesn't think Mirelle is working for her as it causes acne etc. She started on Mirelle and has now decided to continue at the same spot with Yaz thus she is doing a switch in the second week of the contraceptive pack. Is this dangerous? Does she need to get plan b. She has not missed any pills or anything but she has just changed from Mirelle to Yaz mid pack. Please let me know thanks in advance

Answer
I don't agree with switching brands in mid-cycle but it's probably too late now. She should have a doctor's advice on this. I don't think Plan B is a good idea. Please read the article at http://www.optionline.org/map.html

I don't usually advice hormonal birth control methods. There are a lot of risks and side effects. Non-hormonal methods are much safer and healthier. Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and we can talk more about this.
