Question
I have a question concerning a missed pill in 3rd week-I took it together with the next one the day after, because I did not remember to Take it earlier,so I took both pills and that was the end of my pack(diane 35). Did I do the right thing and should I wait for my period now and make a pause or not?Am I protected the next month if I don't?

Answer
Mimi,

This probably was a good option, in my opinion. Yes, you should get your period now and then start at your regular time. However, I don't usually recommend birth control pills because they are hormonal and could have side effects and risks (long-term as well as short-term). You also might want to ask your doctor as I am not a medical professional.

Why not consider another kind of birth control, non-hormonal? If you want to talk more about options, just email me at CHERYL51@aol.com
Another thought, is birth control necessary in your life right now?

Hope to hear from you soon.
