Question
QUESTION: i have been on the gynera pill for quite some time and last month i missed a week of my pills. during that time i had sex and now my period is a week late. what should i do?

ANSWER: Dear Veronica,

Thanks for your question. I would say that you have a good chance of being pregnant if you missed a whole week of pills. I would suggest that you go to a pregnancy resource center and get a free test done there. To find a location, please go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. Another good resource website is http://www.heartbeatservices.org and click on the globe in the upper right corner of the page.

Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk privately. Hope to hear from you soon!

QUESTION: hi,i took a pregnancy test and it said negative. but the pharmacist said i should wait a little bit longer. what do you think i should? should i continue taking the gynera or wait it out and see?

Answer
Hi Veronica,

Sorry I was not able to answer your question before now. What did you end up doing? I would recommend taking another pregnancy test. I gave you the contact information in the upper part of this answer of where you can go to get a free pregnancy test. If you suspect you are pregnant, it's not good to take the birth control pill during that time. Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and let me know what happened.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
