Birth Control/the pill

Question
I forgot to bring my pill with me on a day out so I took one of my friend's instead. They are a different type but I thought it would be better than not taking it all. Will I still be covered for that day?

Answer
You did the right thing.  I assume you take a combination pill, which means a combination of estrogen and progesterone, which is what the large majority of pills are.  So if you're on a combination pill, and your friend's pill was also a combination pill, then you're protected for that day.  Best regards.
