Birth Control/Nur-Isterate and diet pills

Question
Dear Dr Cheryl

I would just like to know if diet pills affect the efficiency of the Nur-Isterate birth control shot? The diet pills contain: Dextrose, L-Carnitine, Dietary Fibre, Aloe Vera, Evening Primrose Oil, Cassia Seed Extract, Lotus or Water Lily, Bitter Orange Citrus Aurantium Extract. I've been on the shot since March and haven't missed a single one. I've been on the diet pills for a week, but still want to be a hundred percent sure and safe.

Thank you for taking the time reading this!

Regards

Mariska

Answer
You would have to talk to your doctor or check online about the interactions between these pills and the birth control shot. I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control method so please reconsider a non-hormonal method. Your health is of the utmost importance and guarded carefully.
