Question
I have been on the pill loestrin 24 for about 2 years. But recently, I have had alot of spotting and bleeding that has started over a week before I am set to get my period. I cant think of a time that this has happened before so I am a bit concerened. I went to the gyno about a month ago and my checkup and everything came back normal. I dont feel sick at all, but the bleeding has been lasting for 5+ days now. Any idea what could be causing the spotting and bleeding?

Answer
Usually spotting on the pill is a nuisance side effect and doesn't indicate anything serious, especially if you're under 30 (and probably if over 30).  Most of the time it can be corrected by switching to a different pill, or else by going off the pill for a month or so.  I would discuss these possibilities with your doctor.
