Question
Is there still a high risk of cancer when only taking the pill for over a year?

Answer
Hi Christy,

I found this article for you to read and hope it's helpful. http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Risk/oral-contraceptives

If you are still on the pills, you need to strongly think about this decision you have made. Do you really need to be on the pill and for this amount of time? Are you married? Could you consider another birth control method?

You might also want to do a search online to find out about other opinions about cancer and other risks of hormonal birth control methods.

Let me know what you decide to do about staying on the pill or going off. My email address is Carieichel@aol.com
