Birth Control/possible pregnancy issue

Question I am currently taking Femcon FE as a birth control method,
and have been for about 4 months or so now, Prior to this,
I was trying other pills but was having side effects and had
to change it quite a few times. i am currently in a
monogamous with my boyfriend, who I have been with for the
past four months. We had both been tested and since I was
on the pill, I figured that it would be safe to have
unprotected sex with him. This month, however, I did not
get my period as planned. I was supposed to get my period
this week, which usually comes like clockwork since I am on
the pill. I usually get me period by Tues/Wed and it is now
Fri and I have not gotten so much as a spot of blood. Last
night, I had taken the First response pregnancy test and it
came out negative. I am still concerned, however, since I
had not gotten my period. I was going to take another test
in a few days since the test said that I may not have enough
hormones in me at that time, which can produce a negative
result. Am I being overly paranoid? Is there other reasons
why I may not have gotten my period at all other than being
pregnant? Please give me your two cents on this, I would
appreciate it. Thank you.
AnswerSome women stop getting their period after they've been on the pill for a while, and that's probably what's happened to you. Most women get lighter periods on the pill, and sometimes the period gets so light that it doesn't come at all. It's not serious, and doesn't mean the pill isn't working to protect you from pregnancy. I would keep taking your pills. If your period doesn't come next month, you could probably switch to a different pill and your period would come. However, some women don't mind not having a period, and it's not harmful.
