Question
Hello im 27 years old i have recently started taking Ortho Tri-cyclen lo birth control and I have started my green pills. But my question is: is bright red bleeding normal when just starting the pill.

Answer
Hi Jennifer,
It's not unusual to have some breakthrough bleeding when starting the pill, especially if you didn't start during a period.  Since you're on the green, placebo pills, that means you should be getting your period.  Usually any breakthrough bleeding will get better once you start a new pack.
