Question
When switching birth control methods from the depo shot to a pill form of birth control, do i have to wait a month between methods or can i start back on the pill when i was regularly scheduled for my next shot?

Answer
Jennifer,

I would recommend asking your doctor. But I don't know why you couldn't start the pill already. But really, I don't usually recommend the birth control pill or any other form of hormonal birth control. There are side effects and risks involved. May I ask why you are switching in your case? Perhaps then I could advise you in more detail. If you would like to email me privately, you may do so at CHERYL51@aol.com and put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email.

Hope to hear from you soon.
