Question
I just started taking the birth control pill Apri and I was wondering if it was normal if you feel nauseous the first time you take the pill? Or should I be concerned?

Answer
Dear Megan,

This could be a side effect of the birth control pills if it is new to you. There are hormones in the birth control pills, which is why I don't really recommend the pill. I usually recommend non-hormonal birth control methods to eliminate side effects and risks to your health. So let me know how you are doing now and if you are suffering any other side effects. You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so we can talk more or you can update me.
