Birth Control/Yasmin

Question
Hello. I was taking logynon then switched to Yasmin. I started Yasmin on the day I should have taken my new pack of logynon ( ie 1st day after 7 day break) I took them everyday at the same time didn't miss a pill. I'm on my 7 day break now and usually had withdrawal bleed on day 3 but so far nothing. Should I be concerned?

Answer
As long as you haven't missed any pills, I wouldn't be concerned.  Some women stop having periods on some pills.  Most women get lighter periods on the pill, and sometimes they get so light that they don't come at all.  I'd probably do a pregnancy test, just to be sure.  As long as it's negative, I'd just keep taking the pill as usual.  If you don't get a period next month, you could switch to another pill if you want periods, but it's not harmful to skip periods on the pill, and some women prefer it.
