QuestionHello, I have been trying to concieve for four months now. Im in my mid twenties and I have never been pregnant. This past cycle I used opks. I got the LH surge on cycle day 13 (the usual). I noticed that on Cycle day 15 I got thin wet cervicle mucous (which I never get) and it has lasted for several days. I think my cervix was high also. I had intercourse of CD 9, CD 11, CD 13, CD 15, CD 17 and CD 18.Also the LH surge on the opk lasted for 7 days which is weird for me and I dont have PCOS. Today Im supposed to be 6 days past ovulation and I'm cramping. I dont know what is going on with me. Is it possible those past months I wasnt ovulating because I wasnt getting cervicle mucous and this time I ovulated later? or ovulated twice?-thanks
AnswerIt sounds to me like you didn't ovulate this month. Normally after ovulation the cervical mucous will dry up. Also, having a positive LH surge for 7 days is not normal. It suggests either that the test isn't correct or that you're already pregnant (pregnancy will also cause the OPK to be positive). I suspect that you didn't ovulate, and the cramps are somehow related to that. You might want to do a pregnancy test, just to be sure. Assuming it's negative, I would give it all some time to sort itself out.
