Birth Control/Pregnancy symptoms with Cerazette

Question
Hi I have been taking Cerazette for about 13 months and had very irregular periods to start with, they regulated after six months and was getting one on or about the start of every month like clockwork. I have never missed a pill and take one every morning. Until this month when I have had no bleeding at all. In the last week I am experiencing waves of nausea that only go away once I have something to eat and I have very sore breasts. I done a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Could it just be cerazette causing these symptoms? What do you recommend doing?

Answer
Hi Ursula,

I did some research about side effects of cerazette and there were common reports of nausea, bleeding irregularily and breast pain. So in my opinion, these symptoms could be side effects of cerazette. Or those symptoms also sound like pregnancy symptoms. So I can't really tell you online. Eventually, if you are pregnant, you should get a positive test. I would recommend that you go to a pregnancy resource center and get a free test there. Go to http://www.heartbeatservices.org and click on the globe in the upper right hand corner of the page. That will take you to the directory and then find a center close to you. Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and let me know what is happening. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
