Birth Control/early start

Question
I am currently taking Gianvi and am a "day one" starter. For whatever reason, my period always begins on the LAST day of my pack (my last sugar pill). Is this normal? And should I just toss that last sugar pill and start my new pack?

Answer
Trisha,

In my opinion, it is normal to have a period. You need that time to cleanse your body and have your normal cycle. I don't think it is wise to skip your period by starting a new pack. I also usually don't recommend the birth control pill at all or any kind of hormonal birth control method. How long have you been taking the pill and do you have any side effects from it? If you want to talk more, you can send a followup on here or email me privately at CHERYL51@aol.com
Hope to hear from you soon.
