Question
When does breakthrough bleeding stop

Answer
Breakthrough bleeding is common during the first couple months on the birth control pill.  If it persists for 3 months, it's better to switch to a different pill.  If that doesn't resolve the bleeding, there may be another cause, such as a uterine polyp or fibroid, and that should be checked.
