Birth Control/Pairing birth control with libido increasing supplements?

Question
I have been taking Tri-Sprintec birth control for about three years now, and it has worked great. Recently however, I've become interested in finding a libido boosting supplement that I could take to increase my sex drive. I've tried all the at home remedies, drinking coffee, eating oysters, but I just don't seem to be "in the mood" quite as often as I used to be. I've heard good things about DHEA and assorted vitamins like E or Fish Oil, but I am wondering if there is something specific that you would recommend, preferably something that would not increase my fertility (as I've heard DHEA might) or mess with my birth control. Thank you in advance!

Answer
Many things like DHEA are claimed to increase libido, but in general there are no good studies that show this to be true.  Both men and women have a gradual decrease in DHEA starting around age 25, so it may especially work if you're a little older.  However, both safety and effectiveness are uncertain, and it's a supplement, so it's not really regulated by the FDA.  For most women, the best thing to enhance libido is a good sex life, since our brains remember good sexual experiences and that makes us want more.
