Birth Control/No period, on yaz.

Question
I've been on yaz for about 2 years. I've taken a full pack, but the last 3 hormone pills I took a few hours late. Probably about 2 hours late or so. The last one was Tuesday, and I usually get my period Saturday (today) at noon. However it's 830 and I have no period. I do have the symptoms I usually get though, like stomach pain and cramps. I have had unprotected sex within the past month, should I be worried?
Or could it just be that taking my pills a bit late delayed my period?

Answer
Hi Sarah,

Did you ever get your period? Let me know so I can further advise you. If you haven't started your period, you could be pregnant. If you want to get a free pregnancy test, you can go to a pregnancy resource center near you. To find a center, go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. Let me know what happens. You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com
By the way, there really is no such thing as "protected" sex. Any kind of birth control method is not 100% safe from pregnancy.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
