Birth Control/Unprotected Sex on the pill! Pregnant?

Question
Hello! I've been on Loestrin 24 Fe before for 3 months, but had to stop for a month. I'm back on it and am 19 days into my first pack. I started this pack on the first day of my period. Last night I had unprotected sex for the first time, and he did not ejaculate inside of me. However, that night I forgot my pill which I would usually take at around 10:30 pm. This morning at 7:00 am I remembered and took it right away. I know that I have to continue the rest of the pack like normal to be covered, but I'm afraid of what missing a pill last night could do to me. Also, I had a few mild early symptoms of a UTI a few days back, so I've been consuming huge amounts of vitamin C, which this morning I read interferes with Loestrin. I'm a little panicked, as I would not like to be pregnant at 16. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow morning regarding what I thought was a UTI. I figured if I was pregnant, it would come up in the urine test for my UTI? I'm too embarrassed to talk to my mom about my first time sex, and she'll be in the room with me and my doctor. What are the chances I could be pregnant, and what should I do about it? Thank you so much!

Answer
Hi Jenny,

So sorry but I got behind on my questions and just received yours. What ended up happening about the doctor visit? Please email me at CHERYL51@aol.com so you can update me. Please put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line of your email.

Yes, Vitamin C can interfere with birth control pills. No birth control method is 100% safe in preventing pregnancy. Are you going to stay on the birth control pill? I usually don't advise women to be on hormonal birth control methods. I feel that it is not healthy for our bodies.

Let me know your thoughts. Hope to hear from you soon.
