Question
I believe that life beings at conception, therefore does the IUD allow conception to take place meaning it is an abortive form of contraception?

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

I'm glad you are prolife and informing yourself about contraception. I wish more women would be like you. I found this link. It is Catholic but I don't have a problem with that. I feel that it is very informative. http://www.ewtn.com/library/MARRIAGE/CCLIUD.TXT

I also think there might be information at www.all.org

You can also do a search on the internet saying "Is the IUD an abortifacient?"

You can email me privately at CHERYL51@aol.com if you like. Also, the pill can cause abortions and other methods. I recommend non-hormonal birth control methods. I saw a new product but don't know much about it. http://www.ecobabe.co.za/

Also, Natural Family planning at http://www.ccli.org
