Birth Control/implanon

Question
Hi! Well, i got my implanon inserted 01/04/2012. So, i've only had it for not even two weeks yet. The day the implant was put in, it had been 29 days since my lmp. So, technically i was a day late. I know implanon could stop periods for some women, but i didn't think it could work that fast. could i be pregnant?

Answer
Hi Lindsay,

I can't really say because I can't diagnose over the internet. You can ask your doctor. You can also get a free pregnancy test at a local pregnancy resource center. To find a center near you, go to http://www.optionline.org or http://www.heartbeatservices.org and click on the worldwide directory.

Also, I don't recommend the implanon. I have heard some bad reports from women who had it. Maybe think about getting it removed if you have any problems and go to another method of birth control that might not have side effects and risks. Let me know how you are doing. I would love to hear from you by email. My private email address is CHERYL51@aol.com
