Question
My wife uses Nuvaring for BC... The day the ring went back in she had to start taking azithromycin for bronchitis... will the nuvaring still be effective if we waited a week or so after she is done with the round antibiotic... or does azithomycin decrease affectiveness of nuvaring for the whole month?

Answer
I hope you asked your doctor about this. I'm not quite sure of the answer but I think that the antibiotic would affect the birth control method. I'm not sure how long. Of course, even without the antibiotic, there is still a chance of pregnancy even with the nuvaring. No birth control method is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy.
