Question
I'm on logynon. been on it for about 6months.. i finished my last packet 9 days ago but i didn't take my 7 day break and carried on to the next packet (i did this cause i didn't want a period) but i am now spotting. i have a brownish colored discharge which I'm guessing is a bit of dried blood in it.. why is this happening and how can i stop it? is this normal? any help would be grateful?

Answer
Hello Sophie,
I'm not a medical professional so please call your doctor and see if you can get an appointment. You should always take your pills according to directions. This is probably a side effect and I'm not sure you can stop it if you keep taking the pills. There are a lot of side effects to the pills and I'm not sure if you have experienced any other ones. If you could email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and tell me if there is any other information I would need to advise you further. I don't personally recommend the pill as a healthy birth control method. Do you really need to be on birth control at all or could you consider Natural Family planning or abstinence? Hope to hear from you soon.
