Birth Control/When Birth Control Pill is Effective

Question
Hello! I just started taking Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo on April 30th using the sunday start method. During the first week I was kind of bad with time.. 3 of the days (though not in a row) I forgot to take it as the regular time at night.. and took it in the morning instead. It will be my 19th pill tonight. So its been more than 7 days since any missed pills and I have yet to use it as a birth control method. Is it safe to start using the pill as my sole birth control method? Or should I wait?

Answer
Hi Sammy,

More women become pregnant their first month on the pill than anyother, because they forget more often that first month. Since you missed 3, it would be better to wait until your next pack to use it without a back up method, just to be safe.

Good Luck and Thanks,

Drea Jean.
