Question
Hi, I would like to know about birth control pills.I'm taking Aviane right now.But I'm gaining weight having pimples and headache with that.What do you think? Should I talk to my Dr about it and should try another kind of pills?
Please help me if you can.

Hi Rosie,
Thanks for your question. I would encourage you to consult with your doctor about it. I really don't know which brands of pills would not cause weight gain. The hormones in the birth control pills is what can cause the different side effects that do happen to some women. How long have you been on Aviane? If you don't need to be on birth control pills, I would recommend abstinence or a non-hormonal method. You could check out Natural Family Planning.
