Question
i was wondering, if i have just completed my FIRST three months of using birth control pills, it should be safe enough to know that i wont get pregnant if an accident were to happen right?

thanks for your time

Answer
Hi Kayla,

Birth control is said to be effective during the first month, although some women prefer to be cautious. So if you've been on it three months, and you take your pills correctly, you are protected.

Some women do get pregnant on the pill, but that number is very very small, less than 1%. So for 99% of women on the pill, they are protected against pregnancy. If you are being extra careful, and using condoms also, or he withdraws, then you are doubly protected, and if an accident occurs, your chances of getting pregnant is really really small. So, yes, your safe.

Thanks and Good Luck to you!!
