Birth Control/Feeling A Bit... Off!

Question
Last month I sent you a message telling you I was on the Cilest pill and had had sex using withdrawal. It was a pregnancy scare and you advised me to take a test and I did so, that day, and it was negative (this was 3 weeks following the act). I had already had a period since I had sex, so I thought the risk was low anyway.

For a month after the test (the last 4 weeks) I've stopped worrying and stopped feeling the symptoms, but now they're back (just before my period again). I don't think I'm pregnant 'cos of the negative test and the two periods I've had and because I haven't 'felt' pregnant like I did before the test. Could this be PMT or something? I feel lethargic mainly.

Also, are Montgomery's tubercles exclusive to pregnancy? I've always wondered, cos I thought they were there to begin with. Never been entirely sure though, because I don't think I ever really noticed them properly but I have them now.

Answer
It sounds like PMT but there may be other circumstances causing you some stress. Worrying about pregnancy, job, family, etc. all together can add up.

Montgomery's tubercules are there and pregnancy causes changes in them.

You may want to go to your healthcare person, doctor or midwife, and talk about stress and what you can do. Try some yoga, exercise, proper diet, and ask them about PMT.
