Question
Hi,

I was wondering, if while on birth control, if your pregnant and don't know it, can when you take the pills, will you still have your period since the pills do that while pregnant or would you not have your period. I just wanna make sure I know this stuff for my safety reasons.

thanks.

Answer
Hi Katie. Thanks for asking, lots of women have this same questions.

Even though the pill helps regulate your period, many times, if you do become pregnant you still will NOT have a period. Your body goes into a kind of defense mode, and your periods stop. A very small percentage of women may still have periods, but remeber, only a small percentage. If you are concerned you may be in that little group, taking a pregnancy test following each period will make you feel at ease.
