Birth Control/Long missed period

Question
Hi,
I haven't had my period in about 2-3 months now, and I've been on birth control for about 8 months. I've taken multiple pregnancy tests and they all came out negative. Within the past week I've come down with a severe bladder infection, but that is too recent to have caused me to miss my period. Is it normal to miss your period three months in a row on birth control?

Answer
Hi Missy,
I'm not a medical professional and I think that you should check with your physician on this. I don't think this is normal to miss your period for 3 months. I'm trying to think about this-do you think you are under some stress. Or any changes in diet? Like I said, if you have a doctor, I would suggest a checkup or at least a phone call. Let me know what happens. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Thanks for your question.
