Question
I'm about to start taking birth control (the pill) for the first time. I was told not to start taking them until i started my period. But if I did start to take them early would my period start early? and would I expect another period later when I was originally supposed to start or no?

thank you for you time.

Answer
No your period would not start earlier. You would mess up your cycles and find them very confusing.

Take the pills EXACTLY as they are prescribed:  same time every single day.  Any deviation decreases the effectiveness and increases the confusion and side effects.

Your period is a natural normal function of your body. Protect your fertility. Birth control pills are bad medicine for something that is delicate and easily destroyed. Now is a good time to quit using the pill.
